Image Transfer Process
The raw images, cleaned images and glass photos are exchanged or transferred through uploads and downloads to special locations on our web server specifically created for this purpose. This is done using the File Transfer Protocal (FTP) feature over the Internet. Due to the size and quantity of files to be transferred, a high-speed Internet connection is essential. We generally use the free FTP software called FileZilla available for download from the Internet at: http://filezilla-project.org/. Click the "Download FileZilla Client" button. After our initial contact, we will establish a folder location on our server for your use and create an FTP account with password for access to your folder. Contact Dave Rankin to establish an FTP account.
You may find it more practical to send photographs on a CD or DVD due to the size of files and a large number of photographs. Contact Dave Rankin for a mailing address if you choose this option for sending glassware photographs.
