This color was introduced to sales representatives in January 1929 as "Golden Rod." The name was changed to "Gold Krystol" before being introduced to the glass trade in August 1929. This color does NOT gather or appear darker in thicker sections of glass like the later Mandarin Gold as can be seen in the comparison photographs below. |
