NOVEMBER, 2000 MINUTES

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by the President, Larry Everett. There were 22 members present and 3 guests present

Several members reported on activities at the quarterly meeting.

1. There were two changes to the by-laws:
a. There is now no limit to the numbers of members allowed in each local club.
b. If the club does not meet in any given month, there is no requirement to send a report to the national organization.

2. Several vendors presented various showcases at the meeting. At this time, the specifications for showcases have not been developed so the cost of showcases is not known at this time. Specifications will be developed for different size cases and sent to vendors for quotes.

Requirements for sponsoring a showcase were discussed. Since the cost of the showcases is not known at this time, the actual costs to sponsor a showcase is not know. However, if the final specs for the cases remain at 42" with lighting, it will cost $1000 to sponsor a showcase. If the final specifications result in a larger cases, the cost to sponsor the top line case may change.

One of the requirements is the ability ro reconfigure the space in the museum, so the showcases will be free standing.

The Christmas party will be on December 16 at 6:00 p.m. at the home of Phyllis Smith. Bring appetizer or dessert, and Phyllis will provide the meat, drinks, and tableware. There will also be a give exhange. Each member should bring a Cambridge glass item costing less that $15. but worth more than $15.
