NOVEMBER 13, 2001

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by the President, Larry Everett. There were 22 members present.

The minutes of the October 9, 2001, minutes were approved as mailed.

The Treasurer's report lists a prior balance of $225.66, dispersement of $30.00 to the endowment fund, $60.00 received as dues, and $1.39 received as interest. The final balance is $287.05.

OLD BUSINESS: Since Phyllis Smith is ill, Diane Gary has volunteered to host the Christmas party. It will be Saturday, December 8, at 6:30 p.m. Diane will send directions to the members as to how to access her home. Everyone should bring an appetizer or dessert, and an item of Cambridge glass for the gift exchange. The glass item should cost less than $15.00 and be worth more than $15.00.

NEW BUSINESS: Thanks to all who worked at the museum to clean the glass doors.

The propsed changes in the Cambridge convention schedule:
No activites on Sunday.
The glass show will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
The Glass Dash will be from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday morning.
The annual meeting will be on Friday evening after the dinner.
The Miami Valley study club has been asked to present one program. We should be thinking of ideas for the program. Suggestions include table architecture or smoking items.

David Ray will be presenting the program in January on "Nudes". He distributed a list for contributions to the program and for identification purposes.

Phyllis Smith is in need of assistance to get the glass ready for the auction in June. Her home is available to anyone that wishes to assist in the process.

Judy Rhodes reminded everyone that in lieu of sending Christmas cards to other club members, each member will contribute the cost of mailing cards and this will be donated to the Endowment Fund.

There are three seats that will be available on the NCC board at the next election. Anyone wishing to run for the board should submit their interest to Tarzan via E-mail at the NCC. Larry Everett will run for the Board from our club.

David Rankin reported that the Boonshoft museum has applied to the State of Ohio for a Bicentennial Legacy Grant for preparation of the display on glass during 2003. David has received many possible submissions of glass to include in the exhibit.

Phyllis Smith would appreciate hearing from members via cards, phone calls or a visit. She currently resides at the Eaglewood Care Center, 2000 Villa Road, Springfield, 45503.

Ken Rhoads expressed his appreciation to Larry for moving new ideas forward at the quarterly meeting regarding changes to the convention program. He also said the the quarterly meeting went very well and set new attendance records. There was also a great program.

The next meeting will not be held on the regular date as the Library has given the room to another organization. It will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2002.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
