FERNLAND (2635) LINE

Fernland was one of the earliest lines developed by Cambridge.  Many of the first items produced when Cambridge was started in 1903 came from molds transferred from other National Glass Company factory of which Cambridge was a part.  The earliest reference to the Fernland line was found in a catalog issued by Cambridge in 1906.  The 1906 catalog had six pages devoted to Fernland while the 1910 catalog had only three pages.  Fernland was apparently phased out some time after 1910.  The examples shown below come from these catalogs and not to scale.

All comports shown come from just two molds: 4½" and 6" unfinished sizes.  When finished, the size changed depending on the finished shape. Where known, the finished size is also shown.   The same situation applies to the round nappies which came from 4" and 6" unfinished size molds.

All item were produced in Crystal while the toy tea set was also produced in Green and Blue.
